Join Us for a Lecture with Dr. Albert Camarillo

All are invited to join the AddRan College of Liberal Arts, Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies program, in welcoming Dr. Albert Camarillo to TCU’s campus. He will deliver a public lecture, “Farther to Go: Why Diversity Matters” on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Brown-Lupton University Union Ballroom.

After receiving his Ph.D. from UCLA, Al Camarillo was appointed to the faculty in the
Department of History at Stanford University. He has published and co-edited eight books and over three dozen articles dealing with the experiences of Mexican Americans and other racial and immigrant groups in American cities. He is widely regarded as one of the founders of the field of Mexican American history and Chicano Studies. He served as the founding Director of the Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity at Stanford University, where he is the only faculty member in their history to receive the six highest awards for excellence in teaching, service to undergraduate education and Stanford alumni, and university-related public service.

At Lakeside Villas Apartments in Grand Prairie, Texas, it is clear that we have it all, but we still feel obliged to inform you of all the events our community has scheduled. Please feel free to join in all of the fun at this event!
